Private household sharing
Care together, respectfully.
Pet Care Journal helps trusted people coordinate animal care. These rules apply to records and people within an invited household.
Rules version 2026-10-01 · Effective 1 October 2026
Before you share
Read and accept these rules in the app before creating or uploading shared content. Acceptance permits synchronization of household-connected records. When you connect a local journal to a household, its supported existing individual animal profiles, routines, journal entries and corrections can be uploaded too, and future changes are shared. Animal groups, photos and attachments stay on your device in this release.
Share accurate care records and instructions you are entitled to share. Tell other caregivers when you enter their contact details. Shared records are visible to authorized household members according to their permissions. There is no public feed or chat.
What is not allowed
- Harassment, hateful or degrading attacks, threats, or encouragement of violence or animal cruelty.
- Sexual or exploitative content, including any sexual content involving children.
- Scams, spam, impersonation, or deliberately misleading care records that could put an animal or person at risk.
- Publishing someone else’s private information without permission, or sharing passwords, sign-in codes, or other secrets.
- Unlawful content or material that infringes another person’s rights.
- Abusing reports or access controls to harass another caregiver.
Factual observations and instructions from an animal’s caregiver or veterinarian belong in the care journal. The app records what you enter; it does not provide diagnosis, treatment advice, or dose calculations. Consult a qualified veterinarian for medical decisions.
Report content or a person
Open Settings, then Backup & sharing, and choose Report content or a person. Select a shared animal profile, routine, journal record, schedule adjustment, or household user that you can access. You can also report a caregiver from their household entry.
Choose a reason: abuse or hate, sexual content, threats or violence, spam or scams, a privacy violation, or another concern. Add details if they help explain the problem. Do not include passwords, sign-in codes, or private information unrelated to the report.
The app sends the report privately to Bakuapps.com and shows a receipt reference. It is not posted to household care history or emailed automatically. Reporting does not itself remove content or access. If you cannot use the in-app report, contact hello@bakuapps.com and include the reference if available.
Manage household access
The household owner can choose Revoke access for a caregiver in Backup & sharing. Authorized access to shared care is then revoked. Previously downloaded records can remain on a disconnected device until it reconnects and its access is checked; exported copies cannot be recalled.
You can sign out and remove the household’s shared data from this device using the app’s sharing controls. This does not delete another person’s account or the household’s records. For online account deletion, use the separate account-deletion steps.
How we handle safety concerns
Basic text checks can reject some objectionable shared text. These checks cannot identify every problem. Reports give the operator information to investigate concerns that need human review.
Jakub Takac, trading as Bakuapps.com, reviews the private report queue each business day and takes action appropriate to the concern. Actions can include removing prohibited content, restricting or revoking access, or contacting the people involved when necessary. We may preserve limited information for a documented legal or security need. Contact hello@bakuapps.com if you want us to reconsider an action; include the report reference when available.
Ordinary resolved reports are deleted after 90 days during the operator’s business-day queue review unless a documented legal or security hold requires longer. The privacy policy explains what a report contains, who can access it, and account-deletion handling.
The queue is not monitored continuously. If an animal or person is in immediate danger, contact a veterinarian or the appropriate local emergency service.
